2008 Cute Kid Contest Official Rules

1. To be eligible, photo must be of a child (under 18 years of age) or direct relative (brother, sister, nephew, niece, grandchild) of an authorized commissary shopper.
2. Photo must have been taken after September 1, 2007. You may NOT enter a photo that has previously been sold for publication or advertising use.
3. Both color and black and white photos are acceptable. Avoid sending low quality or low resolution photos, as they do not reproduce well. If using a digital camera, we recommend you use the "largest" or "high quality" setting.
4. Enter the "2008 Cute Kid Contest" via email by sending your "cute kid" photo to cutekid@familymedia.com. Entries may also be mailed to "Cute Kid Contest", PO Box 399, Old Bethpage, NY 11804.
5. Enter as many times as you like, however, each entry submitted must have a different photo (of the same or a different child).
6. Entries must be postmarked by June 5, 2008 and received by June 8, 2008. Include your name, address and commissary name on each entry. Email entries must include a valid return email address. Incomplete entries and electronic entries without a valid email address may be disqualified.
7. The “2008 Cute Kid Contest” is open only to authorized military commissary patrons 18 years of age or older who retain commissary shopping privileges.
8. Employees and their families of sponsoring companies and their affiliates, subsidiaries, brokers and personnel employed in the military commissary or exchange systems are not eligible. Program void where prohibited by law. Offer subject to all federal, state and local rules.
9. All photos submitted become the property of Family magazine and cannot be returned. Not responsible for lost or misdirected entries.
10. Six semi-finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges selected by Family magazine. Semi-finalists will be featured in Family magazine and at www.familymedia.com starting in July 2008.
11. Program winners will be selected from the semi-finalists based on votes received by mail and the electronic voting form which will be made available online.
12. Winners will be notified on or before October 12, 2008. Prizes not claimed within 30 days of notification will be forfeited.
13. Winners will be required to furnish an affidavit of eligibility as proof of being an authorized commissary shopper, as well as a model release for the child in the submitted photo. In the event the entrant is not the parent or guardian of the child in the photo (i.e. Aunt/Uncle/Grandparent/etc.), the child's parent/guardian will be required to sign the model release.
14. Any taxes shall be the sole responsibility of winners.
15. Upon acceptance of prize, all winners must agree to publicity photos.
16. Online voting is limited to ONE vote per IP address (household) per hour (total 24 votes per day). Votes inexcess of this limit will not be counted.
17. Voting closes September 30, 2008.
